Outstanding bike!, February 17, 2012 By This review is from: Gavin Linea Full Carbon Road Bike Shimano (Misc.) I Bought this road bike in preperation for the BP MS 150, and it proved to be a great choice. I had always bought my bikes used, but decided to get a new full carbon bike. I have ridden over 200 miles on it and all i can say is that it is worth the price. If you wait until black friday, they usually have a nice deal on it for only $850 + shipping. The seller shipped the bike on time and it had instructions on how to assemble the bike, and with the help of a friend, I got it done in or 2 hours. I would recommend this bike to my friends.
Fast Bike, really Fast, June 29, 2012 By This review is from: Gavin Linea Full Carbon Road Bike Shimano (Misc.) I own several bikes, mainly road racers, 1 expensive tri bike and a cruiser ((I own a Cadillac road bike $800 from amazon.com, reliable and chunky but slow and comfortable)... I own a Worksman road cycle cruiser... piece of crap $370... terrible bike.. I have a $5000 used Trek Concept 9 triathlon bike which is quite the Rolls Royce at a RR price..... but like a Rolls Royce, the maintenance is crazy expensive)....
My new Gavin Linea is as light or lighter than my Trek and as fast over short distances, but the Gavin at around $800 is not as versatile, less stable and obviously has cheaper gearing and brakes etc... My only real negative is the effing SEAT tears me a new hole each time I ride... but overall this is a very good sprint triathlon bike... I use the normal handle bars mainly as my balance is a bit off on the Gavin so I would venture to say you may prefer the straight road version... I mainly ride flat out for 45 minutes to one hour each morning
